Being part of the community we serve is a role that Black River Falls Municipal Utilities takes seriously. As your local utility, we work hard to be an active participant by lending a hand in community service projects and offering various educational programs.
We have pledged a strong commitment to not only our customers, but to our community. Through a number of civic-minded activities, Black River Falls Municipal Utilities has fostered strong relationships that help further our connection to the community. Here are a few of the ways we make a difference where we live.
In 2020, in response to hardships caused as a result of COVID-19, BRFMU provided over $7,500 to community organizations through a Community Recharge Program. Some recipients include:
- Interfaith Caregivers
- Friends Sharing Food
- Chamber of Commerce – Chamber Bucks Giveaway
- Black River Falls School District
Each year the utility spends up to $1,500 on charitable donations.
