Billing Clerk Sandy Anderson and Collections Clerk Cherie Dugan, of Black River Falls Municipal Utilities, were awarded Thursday, Sept. 19 during the WPPI Energy Annual Meeting in Wisconsin Dells. The utility is a member-owner of WPPI Energy, a joint action agency and wholesale energy provider.
Anderson and Dugan both received the Shining Star Award. The designation is for employees who demonstrate growth, leadership and proven dedication to utility strategic initiatives. Recipients are seen as going above and beyond for customers and the community.
The utility was also honored for its milestone anniversary of 120 years.
“Sandy and Cherie are both excellent representatives for the utility and our values,” said BRFMU General Manager Casey Engebretson. “With more than three decades of experience combined, they are a perfect example of why Black River Falls Municipal Utilities is proud to celebrate 120 years of service to the community.”
Founded in 1904, Black River Falls Municipal Utilities is a municipally owned and operated electric, water and sewer utility serving more than 2,700 customers.
