Black River Falls Municipal Utilities (BRFMU) is getting into the holiday spirit and giving back to the community.
BRFMU donated to the Black River Falls High School technology education department to buy supplies for electricity classes, as well as to the All-Abilities Community Playground at Lunda Park. According to organizers, the project upgraded the playground equipment to provide a space where people of all abilities and generations could spend time together.
Additionally, BRFMU provided support to the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce and the Black River Falls Downtown Association. Both organizations help promote economic development in the area.
“Our locally owned, not-for-profit utility exists for the benefit of the community. It’s important for us to support our neighbors by giving back, especially during the holiday season,” said Casey Engebretson, general manager.
